• HCPC Registered Therapist
  • Clinical Supervisor
  • Experienced Trainer
  • Trauma Specialist

I am an HCPC Registered Creative Arts Psychotherapist and experienced trainer. I have over 11 years experience working with children and families in crisis, including working abroad on projects in places such as Brazil, India and Botswana.

I have mainly provided support and therapy to children who have experienced rape, sexual assault and child sexual exploitation (CSE) including their families. I have also provided training and consultation to professionals who work with victims and survivors of sexualised traumas.

I have worked for charities as well as social services, education and the police. I specialise in Attachment, Bereavement and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Over the years I have worked with children displaying sexualised behaviours, historic abuse cases, children who have suffered significant bereavement, and I have also spent several years in Parent support.

So why Loose Therapy?
Well, partly because my name is Lucy (aka Luce), but mainly because creative therapy is a flexible process and the nature of our sessions change depending upon the client’s needs. Methods that work for one person may not work for others, so how we approach each session is quite loose.

On a personal Note…
I am also a drama enthusiast, book lover, a connoisseur of Cheese and partial to a glass of vino. I try to be good to myself by doing yoga and meditation, which could be interpreted as stretching and napping!

I am friendly, honest with a dry sense of humour. I’ve been supporting children and their families therapeutically since I qualified in 2011 and I absolutely love my work – I am extremely privileged to share a journey with a client.
