Creative Arts Psychotherapy is where a client and therapist work together to create change and acknowledge difficulties. Grounded in conversation, it provides a supportive environment that allows you to talk openly with someone who is objective, neutral and most importantly non-judgmental. The creative arts part is just to aid in this process, sometimes talking can be difficult, and writing or being more creative may help this process.
You and I will work together to identify and change some of the thoughts and feelings that you may be having.
By the time you’re done, you will not only have solved the problem that brought you to me, but you will have learned new skills so you can better cope with whatever challenges arise in the future.
I specialise in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Historic Abuse, Postnatal depression and Attachment disorders, as well as therapy for parents of victims.
